Formed in November 2014, the AASLH Women’s History Affinity Group is a free membership community for those who work in the field of museums and historic sites, public history, academia, preservation, and cultural heritage. The group is comprised of those who are interested in presenting and encouraging accurate, compelling, diverse, and often controversial women’s history.
Rebecca Price, Chick History President/CEO, serves as a Founding Co-Chair of the group. We encourage thoughtful scholarship, curriculum, interpretive content, public and educational programs, and share best practices and strategies for including women’s history in sites and locations of all size. We challenges all sites, not just those named for women, to strive for valuable inclusion of women’s history and experiences. Please visit the Women’s History Affinity Group website for more information.
